Most organisations are one key person away from a crisis they have never rehearsed. Beyond the Bus Factor is an attempt to change that.
What we are building
Free, community written resources for:
- Finding single points of failure before they become emergencies
- Planning for transitions, expected and otherwise
- Building governance that does not depend on any one person staying
- Practising crisis response while it is still a rehearsal
Why I started this
I am preparing for a three month off grid sabbatical, uncontactable, to be ordained in the Spanish mountains. Facing that forced me to work through every single point of failure in the Mautic project, and to notice how many of them were me.
These resources came out of that preparation, and out of conversations with a lot of maintainers facing the same thing.
